Many people believe a massage is a treat to be had once in a while, as something that is merely an enjoyable and relaxing experience. Although that
one massage will indeed be a wonderful experience, the most beneficial effects of massage therapy are cumulative and a course of massage treatments is
recommended for the highest level of healing.
Getting a massage on a regular basis can have the effect of strengthening and toning the entire body mechanism. Massage therapy can stimulate or calm
the nervous system depending on your needs and can be very successful in relieving fatigue and give a sense of renewed energy. A regular course of massage therapy
can actually help prevent unnecessary strains and injuries that might otherwise occur due to excess tension.
Laurie believes it is important to incorporate the mind, body, spirit, and emotions as a part of the healing process.
